KOGI STATE: Senator DIno Wins PDP Guber ticket


 




Former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Malaye has been declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in Kogi state.
Former Kaduna Governor, Ahmed Makarfi, leading a seven-man committee, conducted the governorship primary election for the party.

Melaye defeated his challengers; former Deputy Governor of the state, Yomi Awoniyi, former senator Attai Aidoko, Kebiru Usman and Abdullahi Haruna to clinch the ticket.

Others are Zakaria Alfa, Musa Wada, Bolu Femi, and Idoko Idah.

Melaye will face candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Usman-Ododo in the governorship election scheduled to take place on November 11.

  The police have arrested 94 commercial sex workers and 59 male suspects for various crimes ranging from kidnapping,  armed robberies and other sundry crimes in Ughelli north local government areas and environs in Delta state. WSCA EXCOS/BOT MEETING

  The Warri community South Africa executives and Board of Trustee members will be having a joint meeting on Sunday 3rd M arch  2024. In a statement issued by the Public relations officer Mr Onoriode Lucky Efetoboh , the meeting was scheduled to discuss among other things the community's 2024  calendar   .  This will be the first joint meeting in the year 2024. As the BOT Secretary Mr Belvy Udi is admonishing all executives and BOT members to be in attendance. The venue of the meeting has been forwarded to the interested parties.

Delta Youths storm police headquarters with corpse of man allegedly killed over N100 bribe

  Angry youths in Delta state on Wednesday, April 5, stormed the state police command headquarters with the corpse of a young man allegedly shot dead over ‘’N100 bribe'' by some police officers along Ugbolu-Asara road.    The youths blocked a major road in Asaba to protest the alleged killing before carrying the corpse of the young man to the police headquarters in Asaba, to protest the killing.   The state police command is yet to comment on this development.
