WCSA Votes New Leaders

The Warri Community of South Africa is prepared to hold its general elections into executive positions.

In a statement issued by the electoral committee chairman Hon Ekos Akpokabayen, all members and stakeholders of the organisation are been encouraged to take part in this democratic exercise.

Certificates of return will be presented to the newly elected officials as the swearing in ceremony will be conducted on the same day.

President Buhari received 35 bills from the national assembly but only assented to 16. So what are these bills, and how do they concern you? Bill No. 1 If you’re from Ebonyi state, you want to pay attention to this bill. This bill, titled “Fifth Alteration (No.1)”, is to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, to change the names of Afikpo North and Afikpo South Local government areas (LGA). They’re now known as Afikpo and Edda, respectively. Bill No. 2 This bill concerns people from Kano and is titled the “Fifth Alteration (No.2)”. It’s to amend the Constitution to change the name of Kunchi LGA. It’s now known as Ghari LGA. Bill No. 3 Gather here if you’re from Ogun state. DELTA STATE: Police arrest robbery suspect, recover two pistols

  The Delta State Police Command has arrested a robbery suspect, Joseph Vincent, and recovered two locally fabricated pistols from him in Ughelli Local Government Area of the state.   Spokesperson of the police in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, who made this known in a statement on Thursday, April 13, 2023, said the suspect was apprehended by operatives of Dragon 18 and 29 of the command on Easter Sunday morning while aboard a tricycle along Jeremi/Iwhrekan road.    According to the PPRO, the suspect jumped down from the tricycle and attempted to escape into a nearby bush, however, he was given a hot chase and apprehended.   “On the 9/4/2023 at about 1000hrs, Operatives of Dragon 18 and 29, while on stop and search duty along Jeremi/Iwhrekan road in Ughelli South LGA, intercepted a tricycle with Reg.
