Warri LG boss lauds DCP Nufawa over achievements in Delta

 



The Executive Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Smart Yomi Asekutu has commended the Sapele Police Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sani Adamu Nufawa, for his achievement in the area following his promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP.

Hon. Asetuku said Nufawa’s exemplary commitment to duty has endeared him to the people of Sapele and the other six divisions within the Area Command.


It would be recalled that Mr. Nufawa was recently promoted from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, to Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP. He has served as the Area Commander of the Area Command that was created by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, in 2017 which includes Sapele, Oghara, Jesse, Koko, Mosogar and Abraka Police Divisions in Delta State.


Hon. Asekutu noted that the outgoing Police Area Commander’s tenure in the Area Command was commemorative and fulfilling especially for his dedication to his duty of fighting crime and protection of lives and property.


According to the Council chairman, DCP Nufawa will be greatly missed by Deltans from the various Police Divisions under the Area Command where he served, adding that he was not only a disciplined top police officer, he also keyed into the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s agenda of peace and security as panacea for development and he ensured that the Area Command was quite peaceful during his time.


On his part, DCP, Nufawa, recalled that his stay as the henchman of Sapele Area Police Command was a very fulfilling one, adding that although he is still awaiting his transfer, he remains the new Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sapele Area Command.


Nufawa said he was going to miss the people of Sapele because their cooperation by way of providing him with timely information made his duty of fighting crime and criminality and security of lives and property easier for him.

1.1 Billion Naira Fraud: Abdullahi Dikko’s lawyer get seven years in Jail

  Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Umar Hussaini, a private lawyer to the late Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Abdullahi Dikko, to seven years imprisonment with an option of fine.   In a judgment delivered on Wednesday, March 29, the court found Hussaini guilty of the two-count charge preferred against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC). In the charge marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/74/2020 and filed by the ICPC on behalf of the Federal Government, Hussaini, who was the sole defendant, was charged with laundering the NCS funds to the tune of N1.1 billion. After Justice Ojukwu convicted Hussaini, two witnesses, one of whom was a legal practitioner, Mr Amobi Nzelu, testified about Hussaini’s good character, while praying the court for a leniency.   They begged the court to give the sentencing with an option of fine. Enugu: 23 Fraudsters in EFCC net

  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 23 suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu state.   EFCC spokesperson,  Mr Wilson Uwujaren said the suspects were arrested around Monark, Emene and Golf Course axis of Enugu, following actionable intelligence.   Uwajuren i dentified the suspects as Ugwuanyi Innocent Kasiemobi, Emmanuel Chukwu Agwu,  Onyeama Christian Arinze, Hycienth Nnabuike Emmanuel,  Chibueze Augustine Oluebube, Ogaraku Chidiebube Obinna, Chibueze Stanley Onyedikachi, Austus Jeffrey Chiemerem,  Ikechi David Faithful and Okafor Collins Chika.   Others are Chimaobi Chukwu Joshua, Onuoha Miracle Oluebubu, Udo Ugochukwu Stanley, Igbo Christian Ikenna, Nweke Kingsley David, Obinna Stanley Obumneme, Okocha Elisha Ewah, Nweke Cosmas Chidera, Justice Anyaegbunam Mba, David Kingsley Nweke, Eze Henry Chiwetalu, Nweke Edwin Chidubem and Ikechi David.   Items recovered include six exotic cars: One Mercedez Benz E350, one Lexus ES350, one Mercedes B
