Yul and May Edochie's son death Lagos police begins investigations.

 




The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of Kambilichukwu Edochie, the 16-year-old son of popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie. 

 

Kambilichukwu died on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos where he was rushed to after developing a seizure, while playing football with his mates.

 

Spokesperson for the police in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the development in a statement on Friday morning, March 31, said the actor reported the death of his son to the command. 

 

According to the PPRO, the matter will be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department on Friday, March 31,  for investigation.

FIFA removes Indonesia as under-20 World Cup hosts

FIFA announced on Wednesday it had removed Indonesia as hosts of this year’s under-20 World Cup amid political turmoil over Israel’s participation. “A new host will be announced as soon as possible, with the dates of the tournament currently remaining unchanged,” FIFA said in a statement.   Friday’s draw for the May 20-June 11 competition was scrapped by FIFA following protests over Israel’s involvement in the 24-team event. In its statement, FIFA said Indonesia would no longer host the tournament “due to the current circumstances” without specifying details. Indonesia and Israel do not have formal diplomatic relations, and support for the Palestinian cause in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation runs high, fuelling local opposition to hosting the Israeli team.   To say that it is ‘appalling and disheartening’ that Nigeria’s power sector is yet to witness the needed improvement for greater impact on the people and the economy despite the huge amount of money sunk into it by successive governments is an understatement.
