OML42: Oluba, others elected exco of Akpata-Gbegbe community in Delta

 


Prominent Niger Delta Activist, Chief Timi Oluba has been elected Chairman of Akpata-Gbegbe Community, OML42, in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.


Oluba and other eight members that were newly elected as Akpata-Gbegbe Executive Council will pilot the affairs of the community for the next four years.


Meanwhile, the Akpata-Gbegbe Community Elders Council has officially written to companies and relevant authorities introducing the new executive led by Chief Timi Oluba.


Oluba, who spoke to newsmen on Thursday in Warri, Delta State, thanked the elders, leaders and people of the community for electing them and given the opportunity to serve and oversee the affairs of the community from 2023 to 2027.


He congratulated his executive members on their election, noting that they would ensure that the interests of the community is protected and pursued, while relying on the advise of the elders council to enable them discharge their duty effectively and efficiently.

WSCA EXCOS/BOT MEETING

  The Warri community South Africa executives and Board of Trustee members will be having a joint meeting on Sunday 3rd M arch  2024. In a statement issued by the Public relations officer Mr Onoriode Lucky Efetoboh , the meeting was scheduled to discuss among other things the community's 2024  calendar   .  This will be the first joint meeting in the year 2024. As the BOT Secretary Mr Belvy Udi is admonishing all executives and BOT members to be in attendance. The venue of the meeting has been forwarded to the interested parties.

Delta Youths storm police headquarters with corpse of man allegedly killed over N100 bribe

  Angry youths in Delta state on Wednesday, April 5, stormed the state police command headquarters with the corpse of a young man allegedly shot dead over ‘’N100 bribe'' by some police officers along Ugbolu-Asara road.    The youths blocked a major road in Asaba to protest the alleged killing before carrying the corpse of the young man to the police headquarters in Asaba, to protest the killing.   The state police command is yet to comment on this development.
