Nigeria Air to fly before May 29 – Sirika



 Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has announced that the proposed national carrier, Nigeria Air will fly before May 29th, 2023.

 Speaking at the 10th Aviation stakeholders forum on Thursday, March 23, Sirika revealed that the project is 98 percent complete. He added; 

"Negotiation meeting with the Ethiopian Airlines Group Consortium and the Federal Government of Nigeria ongoing.


“Next step: Federal Executive Council approval of the Full Business Case.

The airline will fly before May 29th this year”. 

Speaking further, the minister said the benefits Nigeria stands to derive from the establishment of the national carrier are reduced capital flight from Nigeria; gain the optimal benefit of BASA and SAATM, and develop an aviation hub.


Also, the National carrier will contribute to the GDP; facilitate hospitality and tourism; facilitate growth and development of the Nigerian Agricultural Sector and create jobs around the Agro-Cargo Terminals.

Warri LG boss lauds DCP Nufawa over achievements in Delta

  The Executive Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Smart Yomi Asekutu has commended the Sapele Police Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sani Adamu Nufawa, for his achievement in the area following his promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP. DELTA STATE: public hospitals to use Renewable energy

T he Delta State Government said it has approved the installation of renewable energy (solar) in government hospitals across the state. Delta Information Commissioner, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, who spoke to reporters in Asaba, maintained that the approval was given to mitigate energy deficit in the medical facilities especially in general hospitals in the state. He said the renewable energy mix, when installed, would enable the hospitals to meet up with their energy needs as the cost of running a diesel generator had skyrocketed. His words, “We know that our facilities, especially the hospitals are having challenges of inadequate power supply and the cost of running diesel generators have also skyrocketed. “Consequent upon this development, we have decided to embrace renewable energy sources; this time around, solar energy, to ensure we have power in our hospitals.” He said approval for the construction of a water front in Asaba as well as a six lane dual carriage road leading to the waterf...
